:- 5.0 out of 5 stars from Jenna Britton -- Informative, Practical, and So Well Written : I anticipated that I would really enjoy this book — I'm interested in astrology, I read a lot of books in the self-development space, I love following Aliza on Instagram — but even I was surprised by how much I really loved it. It's so different from every other astrology book I've read: This isn't necessarily a guide to astrology and a primer on how to read your chart (those books already exist and many are wonderful!); to me, this book provided a deeper understanding, a deeply pragmatic and practical way to understand what your personal astrology means about you and how you can be the truest, fullest expression of yourself. It gave me insight into how to practically use the details of my birth chart to grow and self-actualize in key areas of my life (relationships, money, career, emotions, etc.). It provided exercises of varying ease/difficulty, in service of self and others, to put this work into action. And also, it was *so* well-written — my interest in the topic aside, I found myself completely enamored of the way Aliza wrote, weaving in her personal stories and experiences with astrological knowledge and with empathetic instruction. Admittedly, I read the book in 48 hours because I had a hard time putting it down — so I'll need to go back (I *want* to go back) and actually implement/integrate the work Aliza shared. As a person with mixed feelings about astrology and where I fall in my belief of it I ordered this book in spite of my skepticism because I like what I have seen of Aliza Kelly’s online presence. What I found was truly life changing. Astrology is big horoscopes. Astrology is just another way of understanding ourselves, our lives, and the lives and truths of people we love. Aliza is brave honest resourceful hilarious heart wrenching and so clear in her explanation of astrology and how it weaves into her life and all of our lives. If I was on the fence before I am not fully in the garden playing and planting the next chapter of my life. Just from reading the book I feel like I have had endless epiphanies about who I am, I can’t wait to apply what I have learned here to al aspects of my life. This book is so full of great advice and info, I would suggest people not even into astrology read it. I’m only on chapter three and already have many real world exercises and tangible actions to take to improve my life! I can’t wait to see what else she has in store for me! The best book to add to your astrology practice : Aliza Kelly knows her stuff when it comes to Astrology, and in this book she gives you the keys to unlock it for yourself in your own life. If you’ve been studying astrology but have been struggling to figure out how to apply it to your own life and your own natal chart, this is the book for you. It literally ties it all together, and each major life topic is conveniently separated into distinct chapters. So if you want to know how to apply astrology to your money, career, relationships, etc, it’s all there! I know I’m going to be going through this book over and over!
